Meeting - Dashboards and Data - OH MY!

Join us for our March meeting about Data & Dashboards where we will discuss considerations for ensuring your dynamic data can be efficiently supported, maintained and be useful beyond the initial dashboard request.  Alicia Bradshaw, Tonya Kauhi and Maria Sevier, will share their unique experiences managing dynamic data and visualizing it through a dashboard (ArcGIS or PowerBI). We hope to leave you with some tangible tips to use on your next project.

Alicia has 7 years of GIS-related experience ranging from research about brownfield redevelopment in Michigan to stormwater education and public transportation planning in Washington. She currently works as a Senior Planner for Pierce Transit where she regularly applies her background in GIS to manage, analyze, and visualize geospatial datasets that assist in planning efforts.

Maria is a geospatial professional who specializes in GIS mapping solutions for government, private and non-profit organizations with a focus on project and data management, demographic analysis, and business processes. She has 25 years of experience working in the geospatial industry for a variety of state, county, and local governments, private, and non-profit businesses.   Her experience ranges from providing mapping solutions through GIS data analysis, data mining and development, to project planning and development of business requirements/solutions for local governments.  Maria enjoys sharing her passion for GIS and helping to empower others to use GIS in their work and study.  She is currently the GIS Administrator for Tacoma Pierce County Health Department.

Tonya has more than 20 years’ experience focusing on GIS, databases and applications and currently serves as a GIS developer for the City of Tacoma. She has extensive experience in the collection, management, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of geospatial data and, throughout her career, has provided GIS services and management for a variety of clients including state agencies, municipalities, mining companies, water districts, and privately held companies.
